My Shirley ❤️

Do you ever lie awake at night and think of your children? You see their sweet faces come to mind and are overcome with deep love for them?

Shirley’s precious face keeps coming to mind. Oh how gorgeous her smile is! I love seeing her face illuminate with joy. Those beautiful blue eyes sparkle, her smile so large and her face so radiant.

She’s such a joy. I’m so thankful I was chosen to be her mother. She is such a precious gift to our family.

Just a moment ago adjectives describing her ran through my mind. They included:

• Beautiful

• Happy
• Giving

• Sweet

This Winter has been cold and outside-play an extremely rare occurrence. I’ve seen in her an imagination develop through her play that just melts my heart. I love how she sees the world. It makes me just want to curl up in it and live there for a while. She’s such a great mother to her dolls and animals. I love how she refers to them as her darlings! It’s pretty cute too when she enjoys pretending to be her “darlings’” grandma.

Needless to say, I just wanted to share my heart in words tonight. I hope someday Shirley reads this and feels treasured and loved, as she most certainly is!

(And what prompted me to write was imagining telling her that her and I could go horseback riding this summer. Tears welled up in my eyes at my imagined excitement I think she’d express! Anyways, I’d love to make it a reality someday! Mom gush over.)
