Why?
Mood: Ashamed.
What happened to loving like Jesus did? Did not the man, the Apostle Paul, who helped aid in murder's and persecuting Christians, assist in and/or write 13 books of the New Testament? Sure, Casey could be guilty. But, God's grace is for all, is it not? Then who are we to rejoice in someone's possible death or life sentence in prison? Do we not have our own issues? Does not Proverbs 24, say we should not rejoice in our enemy's fall? How much more a young woman whom is not directly our enemy?
Seeing every one of my update feeds - all in anger against Miss Casey Anthony's verdict - hurts me so much. I see a selfish broken family without relationship. I also see a very precious little girl whom did not deserve a horrible death. But I believe without a doubt she's been living true life; like none we've ever known. Wouldn't it be nice if one day Caylee's family would be able to move forward and one day be a family living where there is no more sorrow, no more pain and no more fear. How special would it be for Caylee to see her family whole. I believe there is hope!
I say this because grace is given to me everyday. I know I do not deserve a relationship with God but He desires a relationship with me. It's the same for all of us too! He desires us, despite our poor choices. Someday's I'd rather hide in shame but He draws me out. How I want this for Casey + family, a secure hope for each day, grace is not something to be earned but something given when we don't deserve it.
An excerpt from what I read the other day...
"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to His service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief....Here is a trust worthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners -- of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life...." Paul. Letter to Timothy.
1 Timothy 1:12,13-15,16
