Heading to Outreach soon!
Dear Family and Friends,
My foot sank deeper into mud. The next step had me slipping down a slope but a tree root saved me from sliding further. The rain was unpleasant and had its own way of bringing us down. That was a tough hike that night?-dangerous but well worth the resulting team unity.
Waking up on the rocky riverbed to a foggy atmosphere was absolutely breath taking. The sun pierced the fog with her rays and brought out the beauty in every glistening tree around us. As we sat learning about the principles of discipleship beautiful eagles soared right above us and straight into the sunrise. This = my favorite morning on the trail!
I look forward to sharing with you all what amazing things God is doing in me and has been teaching me. Some of it just cannot be put onto paper or computer =). In short, I am very happy to tell you that lecture phase is coming to a close and outreach phase in North Africa is drawing near! As you may have guessed, the last two months have been filled with fun as well as difficult times. Between climbing beautiful tree-filled hills, eating dried food and cooking in the moonlight, we have had speakers visit and teach on the Character of God, Relationships, the Holy Spirit [my favorite week!], fearing God, and an in-depth study of the New Testament. Goodness, I feel like a sponge that is to its capacity of water yet thirsts for more. The teaching has been a blessing every week!
As we plunge into the outreach phase I have but a couple hundred dollars out of $2500. I have to raise my funds by December 14 in order to pay for ground fees. I would love to bring what I know about God and His love for others to people across the ocean. If it is God’s will for me to go I believe beyond a doubt that funds will come together. If you feel led to be a part of this next mission by contributing financially or through prayer that would be most appreciated! Below I will leave my address where you may send any donation.
