Environments
Our first house. The living room. |
It got me to reflecting on what kind of culture my home has? How is the health of my environment? Does it promote life? Or is it dark, cluttered, overwhelming and unrestful?
While we don't need to have freshly painted white walls and picturesque frames hung "just so" to create a healthy environment (although those aren't the worst ideas for a fresh look), we do get to make the most of our space. I invite you to take a look around your home. The space(s) you call "yours." Ask yourself the questions above.
Creating a home wherever I live is one of my favorite things to do. Many of you know how often I change things around until it feels just right. I add things and take things out all the time. Especially as my children age. Having age appropriate furniture available to them helps set them up to be successful in their play and learning. (Instead of oversized items posing a bit of an obstacle.)
I love how flowers brighten up a space! |
In conclusion, our environments are vital to our health. Physical environments and spiritual.
Here are two links to my absolute favorite house cleaning inspirations:

Physical (videos): The Minimal Mom - (You don't have to be a Minimalist to like her)

In our small rental house we did not have an ideal space for toys. This was how we solved the issue. It was great! |
