Levin Family Christmas Letter
Merry Christmas family and friends!
Maybe someday my dream of a "perfect family photo" and Christmas letter, short, sweet and to the point with the perfect dash of humor to keep it from being boring, will find themselves in your mailboxes one of these years. But it's not this year! This year I'm just trying to remember what I'm cooking for supper and if the laundry got put in the dryer. ;)
A little about us these days...
The kids are as busy as ever. Stan spilled olive oil all over himself and the floor during his exploration of a "forbidden cupboard" this afternoon. When he's not spilling oil he's putting to work his new found skill, walking. I've got a feeling he's not going to slow down anytime soon! He loves throwing the ball for our Labrador, Daisy. Most often though, he just wants to play with his big sis. He's such a happy little guy! (Except when he cut his first molar a couple weeks ago, oof!)
Shirley, our persistent, silly, sweet, loving, determined little girl...She mimics myself so much these days. So when she begs for chocolate chips at breakfast time, I have nobody else to blame but me! She absolutely loves her baby dolls and horses. Naturally the horses are ones she can fit in her hands but someday I'd love to see her riding and caring for a real one!
Jeff works long hours. He's a timber framer. One of his current projects is a 30,000 square foot house! Can you imagine?! We dream of building our own timber framed house someday. Just, maybe a bit smaller than 30,000 square feet! This January he will continue his education with architectural drafting. He's also a drummer on our church's worship team. This past Sunday Shirley invited herself to help him play. That was cute. It was short lived though! Jeff has been asked a couple times to share what he's felt the Lord is showing/teaching him, for Sunday's sermon/teaching. That's been very neat to see and hear! Overall, the kids and I are a very big fan of him!
As for me? I have absolutely loved making connections in our new home city, Alexandria. The friendships I have found in the women here have been a breathe of fresh air. A gift I treasure very much. I'm also exploring my creativity at painting and drawing! So that's new and fun!
In all, we are doing well and love our new home in Alexandria, MN.
With love,
Rebecca and the Family
