Novocain

The sun spilled into my room casting its rays across my bed onto the carpet. It was such a cozy day! On this particular afternoon I was thinking about my root canal appointment and straightening my room. In mid-walk an urge to turn on the radio came over me. Therefore I did and this is what I heard, "you're not gonna feel a thing we'll give you some novocain. That tooth all be fine in a minute or two..." just as suddenly that urge took over but to turn off the radio, I did. I laughed! Lord, you are too funny! That is hilarious! Thank you Father God! I was very comforted, with an extra pep in my step.

Well, years later that country song was on the radio again. This time I heard the whole song for the first time. If I had not turned off the radio when I was prompted, then I would have heard how the dentist began drilling before the novocain set in! I would have totally freaked! There would have been no comfort or encouragement whatsoever! Needless to say, God is good! [And humorous!]
