Vila - Part 2

(= Standing at the door to pick Vila up was a little nerving, but the excitement of seeing her was my comfort. So we knocked. I wasn't sure what to say to her family at the door so I said "Vila, iglesia a noche?" (Vila, church tonight?) The man bowed his head with a smile and a woman peeked her head around the mud wall and shyly smiled. A minute later Vila came around the corner holding onto the Woman's arm. She was dressed so very elegantly in a red dress with yellowish flowers all over it! Her hair as well must have been touched up because it was almost black! I was shocked and impressed to say the least! Max and I invited the family "Te invido tambien!" but they smiled and said 'no'.

Now the church was outside, just several feet away from her house and LOUD from the speaker system. About forty children were sitting and/or running around and Vila sat in the midst of the children with me. I wasn't too sure what she was thinking. I was rather worried it was too loud for her and the children would drive her crazy. She had already wacked a dog next to her, and I was hoping she would be alright. Something made her smirk and she looked like a mischevious little girl. Several loud minutes later the children led us in a worship song and I looked over to see her bouncing up and down to the music! The night was beautiful, the service interesting to say the least (the preacher spoke on children needing liberation from demons), and best of all!!! Her knee! No bandage, she was moving it back and forth, she said there was some pain, but she could move it and she was smiling about it!!! How wonderful our God is~ \
So, that is the 'end' of the story.

Oh boy there is just so much to tell you. Many good things are happening, the team is being stretched and growing out of our comfort zones faster than anyone likes. But it's still really good! =)
