Uncontainable Joy!

So much is going on down here. Just the other day Kelleigh and I went to the Christmas tree farm and guess what…!I cut a tree down! It was so dreamlike walking through the cabin doors (where the “office” was.)- Before the door closed behind me, my breathe was taken back in excitement. White Christmas was playing and a cozy fire place was gently rolling. Hot chocolate was on and the smell of fresh baked sugar cookies wafted through the air. Was this a dream? No! That was the exciting part! After loosing a fun game of checkers to Kelleigh and drinking hot chocolate, with real marshmellows(!), it seemed the perfect time to pick out a tree. So when they pointed me to the saws hanging on the wall, which I missed walking in, they told me I could choose one and go pick a tree! I was so shocked, I was expecting to buy a tree all wrapped up complete with a bucket…but no =)

Kelleigh's expression was priceless when I walked onto the porch with a saw in hand! haha, the adventure awaiting us was practically shouting our names! ...With wide eyes and happy hearts we perused through the aisles of pine trees.

Awed and dismayed, one after the other seemed to be way too big for our little space or way to...Charlie Brown like ;] But then..there it was! Standing so peacefully in the sun~

After successfully cutting the tree, slightly taller than me, I realized one important thing… “What do I do now?!” I hadn’t gone farther than my excitement over cutting a full tree down! So with Kelleigh's contagious laughter we bubbled over in joy as I managed to lug it up and over my shoulder creating a walk only a spectator would find amusing. You know what, I think there is something to be said about peein your pants when you laugh, because that is precisely what I wanted to do! [t.m.i.? maybe :] This whole adventure would not have been as fun had it not been for Kelleigh’s remarks and humor~ “left!" no "right!...” between spouts of uncontrollable laughter!!
