Life with invisible Energy
Within this crowd there is this one man, I am going for more food when he stops me with a simple napkin. On it wrote a compliment, but there is something different about him, something I am not sure I can put a finger on. As the night passes he catches my eye every now and then. He is working hard on another napkin. I'm not sure what he is writing or to who but with every stoke he seems to be accomplishing a...goal, some purpose.
People come and go, children smile and laugh, some stare into space, others sing and dance, and some just complain. Yet there are some who seem to be on top of the world and you wonder why or how. Just as the sun rises every morning it becomes clearer to me that under any circumstances there is life, life to live, to love, to breathe and not waste away.
Time goes by and that man came up to me, another napkin in hand, I read and try to comprehend. I learn about him, he's mute, and he loves God and "holy spirit comes inside him", he glows the love of God I so rarely see in people. Accompanying his simple child-like faith I learn that he's going to school for a health degree and he's working with the National Representative of Florida for a deaf project. Before I say goodbye, he offers me help anytime.
I learn something, I feel changed as if there is another window of life just revealed to me. His brilliant smile stays in my mind and reminds me there is no limitations to God's greatness.
