Merry Christmas &  Happy New Year!

🌲

What in the world have we been up to? Oofta, a lot!Our year began by exploring the possibility of moving into a house perfect for starting a Montessori school. It was not a planned event, but the opportunity presented itself and we pursued it. Long story short?  We moved on April 1st and have been adjusting to our new space fairly well. What a time to have been placed here too. We are incredibly thankful for the space to set up a classroom in the midst of continued school shut-downs and distance learning.

Jeff accomplished a big thing this year; graduating college with his degree in Architectural Drafting. Earning a degree while working, being a husband and father and volunteering at church is no easy feat. I am so impressed with him! Currently, he’s out in the garage wrapping up a memorial woodworking project for a family in our community that experienced heart wrenching tragedies. Another big thing for him this year has been his ability to start milling! He has been dreaming of that since we were first married. It is so fun to see him start this!

Shirley turned five this year. She is full of zest for life and asks many questions. She thinks deep and shares her thoughts carefully. We love getting to watch her grow. She is tender and caring towards her brothers. Moving away from her best friend next-door was hard but they maintain a good friendship being only a couple miles a part now. I’m so thankful she has a good friend!

Stan man turned four last week. He is loads of fun. Full of energy, smiles and creative thinking. He continues to show interest in learning how things work. An engineering mind in the making! He has gotten to bond with his grandfathers’ this year. It is so fun to hear him speak of them throughout the week.

Walt is as busy as ever! He turned one at the beginning of the year. Today, he is climbing anything that will get him higher. He is fierce and loves his family very much! He is definitely our little clown and ready to make his siblings laugh. His vocabulary is constantly expanding and we just love hearing his thoughts! He also shares his brothers love of anything dinosaur.

As for myself, this past year has been an incredible year of stretching, growing and navigating unique challenges. Not to mention, we are welcoming baby #4 soon (February 12th is the due date) and that means physical growth and stretching too! This year I have a dedicated space to set up a classroom. Therefore, I have dove into getting that space set-up and functioning as a homeschool for our children. It is so fun and humbling. There is so much I want to say concerning this but I’m saving it for another time!

Overall, that is a small summary of our lives! We got to take our very first family vacation in August to WI Dells. My parents met us there and surprised the children. It was AWESOME! The kids loved spending time with their grandparents, us too! Then in October we were able to make it down to FL to celebrate my Dad’s 50th birthday. What a treat that was!

That’s a wrap! We hope that your Christmas is filled with the warmth of family and friends and a deep sense of knowing that you are special and important.
